What is Notebook Intelligence?#

Notebook Intelligence is your collaborative AI research workspace. Add sources — text, URLs, or uploaded files — and generate 13 distinct output types across three categories: Creative Studio, Study Tools, and Deep Research. Unlike other notebook tools, every factual claim is traced to its source and every source is scored for reliability.

Getting Started#

Create a notebook and start generating outputs in under a minute:

Create a Notebook

Click "New Notebook" from the Notebooks page. Give it a name and optional description.

Add Sources

Paste text, enter URLs, or upload files (PDF, TXT, CSV, DOCX). Add at least 2-3 sources for best results.

Chat with Your Sources

Use the center Chat panel to ask questions. Answers include inline citations back to your sources.

Generate Outputs

Open the Studio panel (right side), pick an output type, and click Generate. Results appear in seconds.

Export & Share

Export outputs as PPTX, CSV, XLSX, PNG, or Markdown. Share your notebook with a link.

Adding Sources#

Sources are the foundation of your notebook. The more relevant sources you add, the better your AI-generated outputs will be.

File Privacy

Uploaded files are parsed entirely in your browser. Only the extracted text is sent to the server — your original files are never uploaded or stored.

Deep Research#

Launch autonomous research tasks that go beyond simple generation. Deep Research runs a multi-phase pipeline — Search, Analyze, Verify, Synthesize — to produce citation-rich, verified reports.

Enter Your Research Topic

Type a question or topic in the Deep Research section of the Studio panel.

Monitor Progress

Watch the 4-phase progress indicator: Searching sources, Analyzing content, Verifying claims, Synthesizing results.

Review Results

When complete, view the full research output with citations and verification scores.

Research Phases

Each research task progresses through four phases with real-time status updates and an elapsed timer. If a task fails, use the Retry button to restart it.

Share your notebook with team members or external collaborators using shareable links with configurable permissions.
