Intelligence Monitor
Your unified intelligence feed — data feeds, verified claims, research notes, knowledge base items, and search results in one continuously updating stream.
Overview#
The Intelligence Monitor brings together all your intelligence sources into a single, personalized feed. Instead of switching between separate pages for news feeds, research archives, knowledge bases, and search results, everything lives in one place — filterable, actionable, and organized by type.
Navigate to Intelligence Monitor in the sidebar under the "Create" section to get started. New users see a template picker to set up feeds in seconds.

Quick Start
Filtering Your Feed#
Use two levels of filtering to find exactly what you need.
Category Filter#
The category bar has two always-visible buttons — For You (personalized ranking) and All (everything) — plus a Categories dropdown for topic-specific filtering like Technology, Finance, or Healthcare.
Type Filter#
Below the category bar, toggle chips let you show only specific types of intelligence. Click any chip to activate it; click again to deactivate. Multiple chips can be active at once — the feed shows items matching any selected type. A Clear button appears when filters are active.
| Type | Color | What It Contains |
|---|---|---|
| Feed | Gray | Items discovered from your configured data feeds |
| Source | Indigo | Verified sources from your research archive |
| Claim | Emerald | Verified claims extracted from research |
| Note | Teal | Notes from your research archive |
| KB | Purple | Documents from your Knowledge Bases |
| Search | Sky blue | Results from previous search verifications |

Managing Feeds#
Click the Manage Feeds button in the header area to open a slide-out panel with three tabs.
| Tab | What You Can Do |
|---|---|
| Sources | View, add, edit, and delete your data feed sources (supports 21+ feed types) |
| Health | See health scores and status for your configured feeds |
| Templates | Browse and apply pre-built intelligence templates to your configuration |
At the bottom of the panel, click "Open full setup page →" to access advanced configuration on the full Trend Analysis setup page.
Item Type Badges#
Every intelligence item displays a colored pill badge indicating its type. For Knowledge Base items, the badge shows the specific KB name (e.g., "KB: Market Research"). These badges help you instantly identify the source and nature of each piece of intelligence.
View Modes#
The Intelligence Monitor is the default view. Two previous layouts remain accessible:
| View | How to Access | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Default | /trend-analysis/monitor | The unified Intelligence Monitor (recommended) |
| Classic | Add ?view=classic to URL | Previous personalized monitor layout |
| Legacy | Add ?view=legacy to URL | Original news monitor dashboard |
Tips & FAQ#
Q: How do I add a single item to a notebook?
Each feed item has a book icon in its action row. Click it to add that specific item to a notebook without using multi-select.
Q: Why is the Refresh button showing a countdown?
After refreshing, there's a 10-second cooldown to prevent excessive API calls. Wait for the countdown to finish.
Q: What does "Create Search" do with my selected items?
It takes up to 5 item titles, composes an analytical research question about themes and implications, and opens the Search page where the query runs automatically.
Q: I'm a new user and don't see the template picker.
The template picker only appears when you have no feeds configured and no archive activity. If you've already set up feeds, you'll see your intelligence feed directly.
Q: Can I go back to the old monitor view?
Yes. Add ?view=classic or ?view=legacy to the URL to access previous layouts.
