The Final Mile
After research, extraction, grounding, computation, and consistency checking, we have massive amounts of verification data. But raw data isn't useful—users need clear signals: Can I trust this claim? How confident should I be in this report?
This final blog post covers Steps 10-11 of our pipeline: the Verification Scoring Module (VSM) and the Quality Gate that determines when a report is ready for publication.
Pipeline Step 10: Verification Scoring Module (VSM)
The VSM takes all verification signals and produces actionable scores at two levels:
Claim-Level Scoring
Each claim receives a Verification Score (0-100) based on:
• CGA results: Relevance (0.70 threshold), Support (3/5 threshold), Fidelity (0.85 threshold)
• CVM results: Computational accuracy within tolerance
• Source quality: RSI score of supporting sources
• Corroboration: Number of independent sources supporting the claim
Score interpretation:
• 90-100: Verified — High confidence, multiple quality sources
• 75-89: Likely Accurate — Good support, minor gaps
• 50-74: Uncertain — Limited support, requires human review
• Below 50: Unverified — Insufficient evidence, flagged for revision
Report-Level Scoring
The overall report confidence score is a weighted aggregate:
• Critical claims contribute 40% (must average ≥85 for HIGH confidence)
• High-priority claims contribute 30%
• Medium-priority claims contribute 20%
• Low-priority claims contribute 10%
Pipeline Step 11: Quality Gate
The Quality Gate is the final checkpoint before a report is marked ready for delivery:
Automatic approval criteria:
• Report confidence ≥ 80%
• Zero CRITICAL claims below 75
• Zero unresolved ICC conflicts
• All executive summary claims ≥ 85
Manual review triggers:
• Any CRITICAL claim fails CGA
• CVM finds computational errors
• ICC detects unresolved contradictions
• Report confidence between 60-80%
Automatic rejection triggers:
• Report confidence < 60%
• More than 3 CRITICAL claims below 50
• Major internal contradictions unresolved
The Complete 11-Step Pipeline
Let's recap the full journey from query to verified report:
Research Phase (Steps 1-4):
1. Query Decomposition — LADDER breaks down complex questions
2. Research Planning — Director sets strategy and iteration targets
3. Parallel Research — Five specialist agents investigate simultaneously
4. Source Scoring — RSI rates every source on quality dimensions
Verification Phase (Steps 5-9):
5. Claim Extraction — CEE parses report into atomic, verifiable claims
6. Citation Resolution — CRS validates and retrieves source documents
7. Content Grounding — CGA performs 3-stage verification against sources
8. Computational Verification — CVM checks mathematical accuracy
9. Consistency Checking — ICC detects internal contradictions
Output Phase (Steps 10-11):
10. Verification Scoring — VSM produces claim and report confidence scores
11. Quality Gate — Final approval, manual review, or rejection
Why This Matters
In a world where 30% of AI-generated claims are wrong, verification isn't optional—it's essential. The platforms that verify will win the trust of the enterprises that matter.
PromptReports.ai is the only platform that combines autonomous multi-agent research with claim-level verification. Every claim traced. Every source checked. Every report scored.
PromptReports.ai is a Verified Intelligence Platform that delivers AI-powered analyst reports with claim-level source verification. Generate your first verified report →
